What do we learn from this passage?

1. The proclamation of the Gospel is the casting of the net. (Missions- Evangelism-Witnessing)
2. We have been given the privilege of being fishers of humanity. (Servant-Witnesses)
3. We have been given the Treasure of God’s Holy Word. (Read, Study, Obey, Love, Preach-Teach, and Share)
4. There is a day of separation coming! (Heaven and Hell) (Judgment)

4. Currently believers and unbelievers live together. (God’s merciful compassion)
5. Believers are to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations! (Missions-Evangelism)

What do we learn from this passage?

1. The Lord continues to call and send forth His children! (Missions- Evangelism-Witnessing) (Isaiah 6:8, Matthew 28:18-20)
2. His field is the entire world; all of humanity! (Acts 1:8)
3. The “Harvest” is coming, and it is a day of separation-judgment! (Revelation 20:11-15)
4. “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

1. God the Father has chosen the Savior, His Name is Jesus. (Promise)
2. There will continue to be people who accept and people who reject Jesus as the Christ. (Humility or arrogance)
3. Jesus our Lord will save all who trust in Him for salvation. (God’s will)
4. The nature of our Lord’s ministry is one of gentleness, forgiveness, reconciliation, and hope! (Relationship-Eternal Security)

2. We are called to be merciful people. (Compassionate application)
3. We honor God through good works! (Matthew 5:16, Ephesians 2:10)
4. The Sabbath is a blessed gift of God to His people to enjoy! Jesus the Messiah is our Blessed Rest to enjoy every day! (Matthew 11:28-30)
5. Every human being is important, valuable to God. (Relationship)

4. Peace is a blessing granted by God to His people (Relationship) (Philippians 4:6,7)

• The “Who?” Biblical examples of Baptism.                                                                              

”What” does the Bible teach about Baptism?

1. Baptism is an ordinance of the Church ordained by the Lord Jesus Christ. “Why?” (A command that requires obedience.) Matthew 28:18-20
2. Baptism is a physical, public profession of faith that one has accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior. “When?” Acts chapters 2, 8, 16, and 18. (Meaning) Non-  essential for salvation but essential for growth as a disciple.  John 23:39-43
3. “Immersion” is the Biblical mode of Baptism. “How?” Acts 8:26-34, Romans 6:4
4. Believers in the New Testament were baptized. “Who?” Acts 2,8,16, and 18
