What do we learn from this passage?
- Faith is a gift of God.
- Faith must be “engaged” to produce the “desired” result!
- We must approach the Lord in an attitude of humble worship.
- We are to be specific in our requests and respectfully persevere.
- We are to commune with the Lord. This includes speaking and listening to Him. (The Word of God)

- God’s Word is the authority for life and is superior to man-made traditions! (Exodus 20:1-17, Deuteronomy 5:16, 6:1-9)
- It is sin to violate God’s Word to observe man-made rules or traditions!
- Sin is a heart matter!
- God’s Word is to be treasured and obeyed in our hearts! (Psalm 119:11)
